ACUPUNCTURE


Acupuncture is PAINLESS!  Dating back more than 3000 years, this treatment is a wonderful adjunctive modality that complements chiropractic adjustments.

Simply stated, acupuncture is a health science, which is used to successfully treat both pain and dysfunction in the body.   Early Chinese physicians discovered there is an energy network just below the surface of the skin which communicates with the internal organs and structures at over 1,000 acupoints on the body.  

This energy works in harmony with the body’s circulatory, nervous, muscular, digestive, genito-urinary, gastric and all other systems of the body.  When this vital energy becomes blocked or weakened, stimulation of an acupoint may restore this energy and promote healing.

Acupuncture needles are very thin and most people compare the sensation to be less than a mosquito bite.  Each needle is wrapped in sterile packaging which is used for one individual patient.  The site of each needle is swabbed with alcohol before the needle is inserted. 

AcuGraph

The AcuGraph Digital Meridian Imaging System is a computerized tool used to analyze and document the energetic status of the acupuncture meridians.  In this short examination, Dr. Chauvin will examine your hands and feet with a moistened probe.  The AcuGraph system measures the energy level of each acupuncture meridian and comparative results are printed as a graph.   The graph allows Dr. Chauvin to make a well-informed decision about your condition to provide the best possible treatment.
